Body Procedures

At the Astria Plastic Surgery Center, we know that there are many life events that affect the body's appearance. Your body may have been affected by weight gain, weight loss, pregnancy or aging, and the Astria Plastic Surgery Center is here to help. There are a number of procedures to consider when it comes to contouring the body.

Anti-Aging Treatments

As we age, the amount of collagen in the skin decreases. The skin becomes thinner and drier, and develops sags and wrinkles due to the collagen and elastin becoming disconnected. Sun damage is one of the most common sources of deteriorated collagen in the skin. Our Halo treatment, by Sciton, addresses texture and tone as well as other effects of photoaging skin, helping you turn back the clock and making your skin have a fresh, more youthful appearance.

Mommy Make-Overs

After child-birth, mothers are often searching for ways to regain their pre-pregnancy body. Although exercising and eating a healthy diet is ideal, it may not work for some. Problem areas such as "muffin-top”, thighs and stomach may need a little extra help. Abdominopasty, also known as a “tummy tuck” can address these problems by undermining the abdominal wall and tightening the muscles, and much of the skin and muscles can be eliminated. Adding liposuction will also address the pouches of fatty tissue around your middle as well as thighs.

Sciton Laser Treatments

Abdominoplasty is also known as a Tummy Tuck. This is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. During this procedure, the muscles that have loosened possibly from pregnancy can be tightened. This can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. However, in order to remove this excess skin, there will be a scar. The results of this surgery may vary form person to person. We encourage you to ask the surgeon about anything you don’t understand.

Liposuction, also known as liposculpture, is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. Although no type of liposuction is a substitute for dieting and exercise, liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don’t respond to traditional weight-loss methods.

Breast Procedures

From cosmetic to reconstructive procedures, the Astria Plastic Surgery Center offers services to help find your ideal shape and size. Not all women are looking for the same thing. Some are looking to recover from the side-effects of mother-hood or simply want to change the size and shape of their breast. There are also those who are recovering from breast cancer, have undergone treatment and are now wanting to go back to their normal lives.

Breast augmentation

Breast augmentation can increase the fullness and projection of your breasts, improve the balance and proportions of your figure and improve your self-image and self-confidence. If you want your breasts to look fuller and to be lifted due to sagging, a breast lift may be required in combination with breast augmentation. Breast lift may be done at the same time as the augmentation.

Breast Lift

Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Breast implants can be inserted in conjunction with mastopexy to increase both firmness and size.

Face Procedures

There are many reasons patients undergo facial procedures, and not all of them involve surgery. Some desire a more youthful appearance or to achieve a more balanced symmetry.

The loss of youthful contouring in the face may be caused by a variety of reasons like gravity, sun exposure, heredity, environmental conditions and even stress. To correct some of these issues, you might consider a face lift or brow lift. We are here to help you make the right decision.

Acne Treatments

Our Acne Treatment utilizes light through a laser to destroy or minimize acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation, and minimize over-production of the oil glands.

To smooth the look of lines and wrinkles between the brows, crows-feet around the eyes, and horizontal forehead creases, consider Botox injections. Botox is also used cosmetically to balance facial asymmetry as well as treat migraine headaches and muscle spasticity.

Juvederm is a filler treatment applied to various areas on the face, including along the jaw, around the lips and in the forehead. This is a minimally invasive treatment used to add volume, alter the contours of the face, and fill in wrinkles. The results are a fuller, smoother and more youthful appearance. Juvederm has immediate results, very few risks and little recovery time.

Otoplasty is also known as ear surgery. This procedure can adjust the size and position of the ears. Otoplasty is often done to correct birth defects, deformities caused by an injury.

Rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.

Blepharoplasty, also known as eye-lid surgery, is a procedure to remove or reposition fat – usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. This surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below the eyes – features that not only affect your appearance but also interfere with your vision.

Reconstructive Surgery

Through reconstructive surgery, our surgeon can correct facial deformities, repair damage to the face, body, or hands. We aim to restore each individual to a look they desire. From complex surgeries like skin grafts, cleft lip/palate and post-cancer reconstruction surgeries, as well as more simple surgical procedures like skin cancer removal and scar revision surgeries. Our surgeon also has extensive experience in hand surgery to repair of damage from arthritis, carpal tunnel, and hand injuries.

Breast reconstruction

Breast cancer surgeries such as a mastectomy or lumpectomy can affect the appearance, size and shape of the breast. At the Plastic Surgery Center, we guide our patients through their journey and help them begin to heal and feel more confident.
